Well one good thing the weather has been better out on the Great Lakes the past day or so. Not so good here, the green house I built last summer got a tear in the plastic shell from all the wind we've had this summer and now is ripped to shreds, I still haven't got the gardens cleaned out, or a dozen other things that need to get done before winter. Sometimes I get overwhelmed, being the wife of a man who is gone 6 months out of the year. When he is home its great we get things done and have time to play our favorite games and make some nice dinners, but when he is gone I find myself sometimes having so much to do I have to make a list so I don't get too discouraged. Crossing things off the list is really rewarding to me! Heck even now, our 10 month old puppy has just realized I put a bell on the door for him to ask to go out, he has been having a great time ringing it, ALL DAY! I can't wait until someone else is here just to let the dog out!
I am lucky when Anders is in cell service range he calls me often during the day if he isn't too busy. Today he called a few times and I can hear the excitement in his voice that his vacation is coming closer. One more trip and he'll be coming home and he told me he is working on his handover notes now that is always a good sign. He is looking forward to getting home and not having to worry about anything other than the list his wife is making for him of things we need to do before the snow hits!
