Course I say I'm counting the days but I really don't know WHAT day Anders will be home. He has given me a sorta day of November 4th, which is 12 days away. I never count the day he actually arrives home or today in that count though, which he says is cheating. So when I think about it , he will really be home in 10 days , sounds a lot better to me.
Today is dragging for me though since he was up all night in the Welland Canal last night, I think I talked to him for few short minutes while he was in lock 7 around 8PM but haven't heard from him yet this morning since he is getting his rest in while crossing Lake Ontario before entering the St. Lawrence Seaway later tonight.
So I've been trying to keep busy making bread, bringing in firewood and the smell of homemade applesauce is filling the kitchen. Today I'm also making a valiant attempt at repairing the Green house I built two summers ago. The plastic took a beating in that last wind storm we had after amazingly surviving the crazy winds we had with Irene this summer. Its going to be a big job for me to do this alone but if I can at least get the plastic off then at least I'm one step closer. I've gotten used to doing things by myself for the most part I can do most everything but I do draw the line at plowing the driveway which is REALLY steep or running the chainsaw. Luckily Anders is home most of the snowy months to take care of the driveway and I have a great son in law who is handy with a chainsaw. :)
Well time to cross another day off the calender its after Noon so today is over...:)
